"DEATH PENALTY" For LIU? This Can't Stand.

 In what has to be the craziest, craftiest ruling in NYC political finance in a while, mayoral hopeful #JohnLiu has been deemed ineligible for matching public campaign funds. This one has Bloomie's prints all over it. Lui is the only candidate who has flat-out stated that stop-n-frisk must go, that community policing and involvement will be a hallmark of his term, that private contractor cash payouts should go to union workers (who have been without contracts, and promised deferred raises by Bloomberg, thereby breaking the budget of any mayoral successor). John Liu has consistently been on the proper, morally right side of the important issues, and despite artificially low poll figures, remains a formidable opponent. People, don't be fooled this time around: JOHN THOMPSON IS A FALSE CANDIDATE, resurrected from the machine mothball room to blunt nonwhite voters' impact in the upcoming election. Liu has been never charged with any campaign improprieties, and was investigated for TWO solid years by the Feds. No smoking gun. But the electoral board has said that this candidate is undeserving of YOUR money that the other candidates will be spending. Why? Because he threatens Quinn and Thompson and the status quo. Check Liu out; tell me I'm wrong about his positions.
