Enough is Enough

Flight (the film) comments: No actor except Denzel could have been believable as a guy that goes to jail rather than incriminate his dead true partner in crime. So we take a guy with a strong moral center and depict him as an idiotic martyr, don't address or further explain his character's bizarre choice ("Whip" could have left the NASB/FAA hearing and gone straight to an AA meeting if he wanted to commence the healing and embark upon a life of

immediate honesty, and yet remained free to evolve outside of a jail cell…) and then top it off with the feeling that a Black guy looks at a 5 year lockdown as just shit that makes him/me stronger. Talk about alternative endings appreciated! Listen up! Incarceration is unnatural, not just something that we gotta power thru. Yeah, once inside the walls, hold it down. But this graduated acceptance of jail time in our communities has got to be reversed. Oh, great drama! Not saying I didn't totally enjoy the release. I'm just saying. Whatchoothink?
